30 years ago, George Swenson an itinerant American teamed up with some

English engineers with the intention of producing a supremely accurate Palma

rifle. The basis of its success was to be a very rigid receiver and a 4 lug

bolt; this action was known as the "Swing" and it was an instant success.

Over the years the "Swing" has evolved into the RPA "Quadlock" which has

become perhaps the definitive single shot bolt action receiver. Having

perfected the ultimate in accurate rifle actions, RPA have focused their

expertise into designing a rifle action for those discerning shooters who

want build quality, combined with strength, rigidity, uncompromising

accuracy and good looks, that is readily available with the added bonus of

minor modification, fitting into their existing Remington stock .

RPA proudly announcing the all new "Quadlite" rifle action at the 2000 Las

Vegas shot show. Specifically with the connoisseur in mind, the "Quadlite"

can be customised for Varmint, Hunting or high power.

Features include:

* Proven track record - For the past 25 years, 4 lugs Palma actions

produced in Tonbridge have been the favoured choice of champions around

the world.

* Precision made - The "Quadlite" is the culmination of design evolution

and the latest CNC machining techniques, enabling component accuracy

and repeatability.

* Safety - Four (4) large symmetrical locking lugs are broached directly

into the receiver body, there is NO insert to work loose, the resultant

being an extremely strong, safe action. In addition to this, as a

further fail safe the primary cam and bolt handle is also shrouded in

the receiver when in the "cocked" position. Both receiver and bolt

incorporate a gas relief port in the event of a ruptured primer.

* "Quadlites" have a modern smooth shape with a satin black finish,

incorporating a "cocked" tell tail.

* "Quadlite" receivers are drilled to accept an optional weaver/scope

rail or the RPA Trakker rear iron sight system or if this is required.

* The receiver body is threaded for a 1.062" x 16 UNS for the barrel

attachment (Note: the thread length is much longer than many of it's

contemporaries) and embodies a turned spigot to locate and centralise

the barrel accurately. Using 100 ton high tensile steel hardened to

46-48 Rc this will give years of trouble free use.

* Large side loading port enables fumble free loading, but keeps out the

excesses of the weather.

* "Quadlite" bolts are hardened to 52 Rc and very substantial, featuring

a floating case ejector and a Sako claw type extractor.

* Fast Lock Time - The short firing pin travel of 3.50 mm allows us to

achieve a lock time in the order of 1.5 - 1.8 milliseconds. The firing

pin itself is of a one piece construction made from a high tensile

steel.

* "Quadlite" receivers and bolts are made from high tensile steel

hardened and tempered for strength.

* The "Quadlite" is manufactured in true left hand or right handed

formats and weighs in at approximately 1.20 kgs.

* The "Quadlite" readily accepts most major US triggers

* Calibres - 0.308,22-250, 0.223.

* Available as a custom repeater.

* Low cost of ownership.
